This is a section near and dear to my heart. Art teaches a wide variety of life skill as well as scholar determined avenues. It is present to help students of all types welcome art into meaningful, multifaceted education.

Why is art important?

Art is ______. Didn’t see that one coming, did you? The truth of the matter is that art belongs to all of us. It is a journey that goes beyond the ability to label it, even though we try to anyway. To me, it’s important to the individual, to the neurological path it opens to reward one with success of completing the voyage taken. To me, art is a the reward for trying.

Art is everywhere…

As I’ve mentioned, art is more than traditional and digital. It is alive and grows. Take my advice, explore elements in real life where staging is less likely to happen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make a suggestion for a project I’d like to see made?

Yes.

You may always reach out with ideas that you’d like to see made. I would suggest you send me an email about the project and we can talk about the specifics there to get an outline of what it is you’re most interested in seeing and if we need to take any alternative routes along the way. After I would need a little time to go through the motions, create the item, write an article and document the process so that you can access it at any time in my blog.

Turnaround times for such projects vary. I will always make every effort to get back to you as soon as I can. 🙂

Do your DIY projects show all the steps?

Yes.

I’ve been burned before by all types of DIY videos fast-tracking their progress to eliminate steps without the viewer (me) knowing. I know how that feels and I won’t do it to you. That also means longer tutorials when the stills are made and added to their blog posts.

Are you really an Art Teacher?

Yes.

I have my New Jersey issued Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing, and graduated as such from Montclair State University in 2008.

So, you’re just giving away your lesson plans?

Yes.

As it turns out, a lot of my ideas happen on the fly. In the moment. There are plenty of teachers I know that are doing just that and sharing their pivotal genius by word of mouth. Simply put, we need each other to get through the day.

How are you planning on doing this?

Mainly through blog posts, long pictorial tutorials, eventual video (when I get there), loads of notes to help you feel secure within your art journey, and the power of positively honest understanding that not all projects are easy. Over all, I promise we’ll get there together.

And, believe it or not, all of you keep me going. 🙂
